Church of Grace Youth
Church of Grace Youth (COGY) is geared towards empowering the younger generation of our local church to live for Jesus. We seek to achieve this by creating an enviroment in which everyone is welcomed. In the Bible, a great illustration of our ministry can be read in Acts 2:42-47.
Our service takes place every Thursday evening, starting at 7:30pm. We welcome you, we love you, we hope to see you there!

If you guys will be humble, God will bless you more than if you try to do something on your own! Remember Jesus was humble and He is our perfect example!
ljljk What is it that you are talking about my friend? Please explain yourself more. Thanks
Well it is so hard these days to be a real Christian and when we go out and preach to non Christians we need to be an example to them instead of trying to blend in with their ways (ex going to preach in ripped jeans or behaving like they do, etc.) because they look up to us and if we are really similar to them in our outward/ inward appearance then they will think about this and say; why should I be a Christian if I am almost as ‘good’ as them.. This is just an important thing to consider just for future reference.
ljljk I understand what you are saying… But lets look at this one more way.. Lets say not going out and preaching but instead talk about us being in our church… If any one of us sits through the whole service texting or wishpering with our friend(s) would you not say it is also witnissing to the people around us how real of a Christ like person we are… The hole witnissing starts from with in the bodychurch building. Lets each of us look how we witniss with our ears by listining withing the building and than go out and talk about witnissing outside the building.. How real is that for us… Who are you by the way???
i know what your saying 2… but how Christ like are we in church is how were supposed to be at home, school and everywhere we go, not just in church. i think that people should consider wearing more appropriate clothes to church instead of showing too much of themselves (esp if you are in worship and in front of people). like if Jesus was to look at you according to what your wearing, what would He say.. you look “HOT” or “humble”.. im not trying to throw stones or anything just pointing this out cuz things have changed.
Somehow I’m a strong believer in that “content not cover” is what really matters…
Party because in my life I’ve been on both sides of this matter and through it all been convinced and convicted that it’s the key. I’ll share two personal stories.
1. Convinced – when i was in Bible College in Ukraine, i came in decked out in all the latest clothing brands, with a laptop in my class and personal phone line for internet access (in my room). While I enjoyed all these priveleges i was perceived by many fellow students as an arrogant, boastful and prideful “american”. However, because i saw hope, i chose to not “humble” myself but rather attempt to change their perception by letting them see “content” – who i was, beyond “cover” what i looked like on the outside. Long story short, by the mercy of God, and in large part because i was surrounded by bible school students who really sought to search themselves daily i was able to see fruit of that. Many of those students later knocked on my door, repented and apologized for judging based on my how i looked or presented myself and not on what my character was…
2. Convicted – Also during my time in Kiev, Ukraine. I was in a church service where i saw two girls and a guy (17-20 yr olds) that i felt like they were dressed to worldy (i’m not talking about perverse or slutty here…) just worldy – inappropriate for church i thought… After the service, i proceed with my other appropriately dressed friends to hang out at the city centre http://blog.kievukraine.info/uploaded_images/4886-761751.jpg
while i was having fun and chatting and enjoying ice cream with my fellow bible school sisters one of the girls spotted a girl she knew… To my surprise that girl was part of a group i saw earlier at the church, with them was a kid about 6-8 yrs old, he was dirty and his pants were wet up to his knees. When asked what they were doing they told us they were taking this homeless kid to McDonalds to feed…
Here i was thinking about how these inappropriately dressed folks were still doing church and here was I finished with my church and just enjoying time for myself. A story in Luke 18:10-14 came to life, strangely i found myself on the pharisses side. I had to repent… Repent of putting value on things that are seen and forgetting to consider things that are unseen, peoples hearts and souls. Repent of being judging and basking in my own sense of self-righteousness… Realizing that humbleness and humility is required regardless of what position you hold or which team you happen to find yourself on…
“how Christ like are we in church is how were supposed to be at home, school and everywhere we go, not just in church.” Yes everywhere we go is how were soppose to be. Back in UA i remember our and what is meant by our is our Christian people girl boy nomatter who it was they were recognized everywhere and you new right away they where Christian. Sure the clothes seperated cuz alot wore skirts but the other big caracter that was noticable is the humbleness, peace was with them and that was that peace that Jesus said in John 20:21 – Jesus said to them again, “Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I send you.” it was said to the Disciples but thats the peace people have/had do we have that now? “im not trying to throw stones or anything just pointing this out cuz things have changed.” Things have changed indeed brother in Christ. When was the last time you came to visit? Yes still alot of not humbleness but look back from what it used to be to what is become still alot of work needs to be done and we pray it will be done and it will be. Lets not do everything at once because everything starts from small and grows with work to be bigger… A preacher does not start at a professional level a singer also…
НЕ РУЙНУЙ ЦЕРКВУ А БУДУЙ!!!*Please
-Thats to anyone that still has a problem with CGYouth.. or any other youth thats not perfect. Its not going to be perfect… always will be different negatives but if you LOVE JESUS you will do your best to HELP and not teach. To Shine and not blame.
Dress the way that you wouldnt be embarrassed when Jesus would be by you or your church pastor on earth…Май Совісьт.. Yea if your cleavage is showing dont tell the guy to dont look but cover yourself up.. this is ridiculous that we have problems like these. And if your a guy and your chest hair is showing man cover yourself up nobody wants to see that. Easpecialy ask a girl on opinion for that problem. Also if you coming untuck please dont be like little kids and tuck yourshirts in, be the big boys you are not little ones that your mommy forgot to tuck your shirt in for you… Be a healthy Christlike minded person.
There’s different circumstances in life and that wasnt the kind of humbleness I was talking about. Of course it would be nice to help others instead of staying in your comfort zone, but of course were all imperfect people. I was talking about how a person should be humble in their life, just like Jesus… Jesus is our best example and no one can argue about that! He was humble.. for ex if He went to a party He wouln’t try to be all loud and crazy and the center of attention but the opposite and that’s how we should be. Everyone has their own opinion in everything and that’s normal but as brothers and sisters in Christ, we need to be more united as a whole (all youth, middle aged and the elderly).
Also judging is talking about someone in particular like pointing fingers, but bringing up things like what I did for discussion is not judgement, it’s just helping each other out to improve and grow more mature and more like Jesus. Isn’t that what we all need…
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidy, but of power, love and self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
(there has to be some kind of discipline with our behavior and thinking.)
Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. -Ephesians 4:2
The brother in humble circumstances ought to take pride in his high position.
-James 1:9
Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will lift you up. -James 4:10
Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. -1 Peter 3:8
